Walbran Headwaters At Risk

Seen here are “before” images captured in 2020 in an active Western Forest Products cutblock in the upper reaches of the Walbran Valley in Pacheedaht territory. Scores of giant cedars were banded in preparation for falling. In 2024, the forest was sadly logged. “After” photos will now have to be taken. The ongoing logging of endangered old-growth forests must come to an end.
