These photos were captured in August 2020 from the Granite (Renfrew) Creek watershed, just over the ridge to the east of Fairy Creek in Pacheedaht territory. Teal-Jones was starting to construct roads and to clearcut old-growth forest in this area. A second blockade has now been set up by independent activists to prevent the company from continuing its destructive practices here as well.

Speak Up! Call Premier John Horgan’s office at 250-387-1715 & Forest Minister Doug Donaldson’s office at 250-387-6240. Ask them to release their Old Growth Report immediately to enact a moratorium in the most endangered and intact forests like Fairy Creek, and to develop a legislated plan to fully protect endangered old-growth forests across BC.
