Last week we took to the skies to document old-growth forests and logging across the west coast of Vancouver Island and, when you’re in the air, it’s clear just how incredibly rare a sight this is – a roadless valley free from clearcuts. National Observer- The federal government’s recent $2.3 billion investment in conservation is a tremendous opportunity for the BC NDP. With a ballpark figure of $200-$300 million coming to BC, this funding is key to ‘unlocking’ the protection of BC’s highest-value ancient stands.
